Hypnoseas is the second album by Gus Ring. Originating from the DIY scene, the album is recorded &mixed by Gus in his closet studio. In a world full of perfect productions and auto-tuned vocals Hypnoseas is an album that is honest, pure and straight from the heart.
Gus main instrument is the acoustic guitar which on certain songs is played in a unique way - using a stick made for meditation bowls. The album also features instruments like trumpet, piano, glockenspiel and percussion made with clothes-hangers. The artwork is made up of drawings by Gus on photographs taken by his brother Ludwig which creates a vision of mysterious seas that goes hand in hand with the oceanic metaphors of the lyrics.
