The Kamus Quartet and Alba Records have released an album For The Baltic Sea in cooperation with the Baltic Sea Action Group (BSAG). The album combines great music, Finnish elements from the top of classical music and an important message about the protection of the Baltic Sea. The record book contains a text about the Baltic Sea prepared by BSAG's Anna Klemelä and the Kamus Quartet in Finnish, Swedish and English. Alba Records will donate part of the record proceeds to the Baltic Sea Action Group's work for the Baltic Sea. On the album, Andrea Tarrodi and Lotta Wennäkoski represent contemporary music composed by women, with Carl Nielsen and Wilhelm Stenhammar representing the music of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as the latter celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. The records are printed according to the Ecopak model developed by the BIS record company, which is currently the most ecological way to publish music.
