'After proudly being fired from all my former musical endeavours, I moved to LA in the early 2000's and got the chance to work with Giorgio Moroder and the great producer Keith Forsey (Simple Minds, Billy Idol) amongst others, and have been happily working in the music, film and video game industry ever since. My main gig has been writing dodgy reality tv music, which, although financially rewarding, is not terribly artistically fulfilling at times so I therefore felt the 'itch' as it were to put together a new project a couple of years ago and so Featured came about.
Rather than have a bunch of songs that all sound the same, I wanted this project to have a few different musical avenues. There's obviously an industrial element to some of the songs, but also there's a rock slant and a trip hop influence thrown in. It's all mixed up with a side of, dare I say... melody? I'm under no illusions that it's some kind of groundbreaking music project that will set the earth on fire, but I like it and if a few others like it too, that's great. Lyrically, it's a mixture of my view on the stupidity and closed mindedness of people in general, lost loves and a bit of sleaze thrown in for good measure.'
