Furry Lewis was born 1893 in Mississippi and lived his long life in Memphis, Tenn. On this CD are his 1927-1929 recordings. He was a Master of slide guitar and played together with Gus Cannon and the Memphis Jug Band. On this CD he plays all his great songs like âMr. Furryâs Bluesâ or âKassie Jonesâ ! This is the best of Memphis blues!
