Héctor Valentín Larrondo Ricardowas born in Havana in 1958. During his long professional life, he has formed part of many Cuban groups as well as his own band including Orquesta ''MVS'', ''Melodías del 40'' and ''La Familia'', but he is best known as the lead Singer in Orquesta ''Reve'' and ''Adalberto Álvarez y su Son''. He joined ''Reve'' in 1985 and stayed in the band until 1989 when he joined ''Adalberto Álvarez y su Son''. He stayed in this band until 1990 when he joined the ''Familia''. In 1992 he decided to form his own band.

During his long professional life he has recorded and participated in over 10 long plays including in 1997 the CD ''Changuí en casa de Nora'' with Orquesta ''Revé'' on Tumi Music label.

During his long artistic life he has toured the world with Orquesta ''Reve'' as well as with Orquesta ''Adalberto Álvarez y su Son''. In 1999 he came to live in Mexico City participating in festivals and concerts throughout the Mexican Republic.
