ROSS KENNEDY has been a professional folk musician for over 25 years. He has toured, recorded and played with Scottish legends The Tannahill Weavers and was also the founding member of great bands such as The Iron Horse, The Jura Ceilidh Band and Canterach. Ross also had a very successful and long association with fiddler Archie MacAllister and has went on to play in many other duos and trios in his long and varied career. He now devotes his time to the exciting pipes, fiddle and song group Canterach. This is his first solo album. Ross has a strong, melodic singing voice coupled with a powerful and sensitive guitar accompaniment and is one of the select band of folk musicians who have successfully translated the traditional tunes of the fiddle and pipes to the acoustic guitar.
