Description
A priceless moment in music history
The Jim Reeves Radio Show: Monday February 24, 1958 is a priceless moment in music history. It's the very beginning of the Nashville Sound with Nashville-based musicians making very creditable pop music for a national radio audience, and it's the end of live radio. These were among the last 'live' sweet music radio broadcasts. Fortunately, they were also recorded, and now we can hear what listeners to the ABC/ABN radio network heard in February 24, 1958.
Jim Reeves was never smoother ... his music, his patter ... he was the consummate radio host.
This is a fascinating addition to every Jim Reeves collection, and a priceless time capsule from the end of the 'live' radio era.
