Blues recordings are renowned for their tales of lost love, having no money, being treated mean, feeling low, hunger, walking the dirt road... Yet, over the decades, the blues have reported on many aspects and their effects on life, in only a way that the blues can. Politics, social conditions, religion, education, inequality, employment and so much more are covered, often with the seriousness that such subjects deserve, often with the irony and humor so frequently found in the blues.

When it comes to pandemics and health care, the Blues and the Blues People have been front and center to the treatment, witnessing, the unscrupulous actions of what is considered to be the dominant power structure.
