Description
Boxset with 3 CDs, 2 DVDs and booklet containing two complete Rockpalast shows from 1979 and 2004.
The concert at the Grugahalle in Essen was a memorable night - the 'Famous Full Moon Concert' was born.
When Mitch finally arrived, carrying a half-empty bottle of Jack Daniels, he was completely wasted. His live interview with the presenter Alan Bangs is TV history by now, but at that time Peter Ruechel, the producer in charge, was by a hair's breadth of axing the whole thing. But what followed was the real McCoy: Mitch gave all and sung his heart out for the audience. The penetrating, impassioned cries of the soul searcher sent shivers right up the spines and deeply moved the audience, beginning from 'Ain't Nobody White Can Sing The Blues' ('Naked But Not Dead', 1979) to the final number, the Doors' 'Soul Kitchen'.
25 years later in 2004, Mitch Ryder performed again at the Rockpalast. This concert also appears in this boxset - uncut and it has the same intensity.
Re-Launch of the Rockpalast highlight in an attractive Digi with 2 DVDs, 3 CDs ans a booklet with fotos and linernotes by Peter Ruechel.
