Suicidal Romance makes entertaining and original electro-industrial, seamlessly blending male and female vocals, and harsh electronic undertones with pop melodies. Originally started as a fun creative outlet, the Estonia-based band has been creating electronic music since 2006. The bands first song, 'Cold Kiss,' received positive feedback and fueled the band to become a more serious project. With the line-up of Dmitry i. (vocals, lyrics, music), Viktoria Seimar (vocals) and Maarja Korstnik (synths, lyrics, visual concept) solidified, the band set about recording and releasing a demo, which quickly garnered the attention of Infacted Recordings. After several high profile live appearances, the debut CD Love Beyond Reach was released. Now, for 2010, Suicidal Romance joins the Metropolis Records family for the release of Shattered Heart Reflections. The album was recorded during a tumultuous time for the band, with Dmitry i. suffering through drug and alcohol related health problems and depression. It is said that dark times can fuel the creative spirit, and Shattered Heart Reflections proves that to be true. This album sees Suicidal Romance creating a whole new direction for the band, playing more with modern sounds, leaving its more gothic style and Dmitry's depression behind.
