In 2002, the United States/China Foundation, a non profit international cultural arts program, chose the award winning Mary Lamont Band of Long Island, N.Y. to represent the United States through their Country/Americana music. This ground breaking tour of Mainland China covered some 23,500 miles. The band performed in Shenyang, Dalian, Guizhou Province, Xiamen, Beijing, and Nanjing. How Lucky China follows the band on a magical musical adventure across China.
