Suono - the new solo double-album by world music sound magician Martin Kaelberer
Martin Kälberer, pianist and multi-instrumentalist, is not only well-known by his many appearances on German television screens, by his many collaborations with Werner Schmidbauer and Pipo Pollina (with whom he sold out Verona's arena) or with the Jazz Duo Le Bang Bang, but also for his magic to create atmospheric, meditative, yet light soundscapes on his solo records.
And so he does again on his upcoming record 'SUONO', an intimate double album, exploring the two different sides of his musical creation.
The first album, Einklang, with a clear focus on his abilities as a jazz piano player, with just discreet influences from different instruments, and the second album Vielklang, with a focus on his more world music oriented side, with lots of different instruments (hang, halo, urdu, vocals, percussion) and an emphasis on the rhythmical sound of the hang and halo.
