Brimstone - Carving A Crimson Career (Remastered) (CD)
Release Date: 09/02/08
Remastered edition of the album from 1998 presenting a thrilling combination of classic metal in the likes of Hammerfall and brutal death metal growls instead of the regular high-pitched vocals.
'Carving A Crimson Career' was officially released in 1998 by Nuclear Blast Records. The album's content was quite a surprise for many unaware listeners who expected a typical power metal offering. Brimstone came up with a thrilling combination of classic metal in the likes of Hammerfall and brutal death metal growls instead of the regular high-pitched vocals. This alone made 'Carving a Crimson Career' a truly unique release, showing that not all have been said when it comes to classic metal. But apart from the innovative approach, the album also delivered some prime heavy music. Along with the opening track 'Breaking The Waves' comes a storm of powerful riffs that lasts throughout the entire album. Be it the Iron Maiden influenced 'Pagan Sons', the epic 'Autumn' or the anti-poser anthem 'Heavy Metal Kid', all songs bring sheer metal madness straight from the Swedish soil. While many reviewers tried to compare 'Carving a Crimson Career' to Judas Priest, Bewitched, Helloween or even Anthrax and Children of Bodom, it is pretty obvious that Brimstone forged a style of their own, taking the best there is in power metal and strengthening it with the brutal death metal vocals... New digipak edition, limited to numerated 2000 copies Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on golden disc.
