Bassist and composer Friedlander had been playing with Abe, Eric and Louis a long time before recording the album and composed the music tailored to their unique artistic personalities. Each element is introduced by a different member of the group with an open improvisation which then leads into the composition dedicated to that element-all these parts are interconnected into one organic piece of music.
