Fai Baba describes the album as 'delicate and fragile, intimate and gentle--a work that comes straight from the heart.' The creation of Fäderliecht spanned over a year, and behind its apparent lightness lies a great deal of work. Together with producer Manuel Egger and versatile musician Mario Hänni, Fai Baba crafted a new sound that expands the boundaries of Swiss neo-folk and ventures into the realm of 'Swiss chamber pop.' This unique sound owes much to the 'special touch' of Amour sur Mars. Fäderliecht draws inspiration from a wide spectrum: the hypnotic patterns of Philip Glass, the minimalist sounds of Moondog, the dreamy melodies of The Beatles, and the unmistakable style of Sixto Rodriguez. The influence of jazz icons like Alice Coltrane is also palpable.
