They reflect two aspects of composition that have shaped Toro Pérez's music from the outset: on the one hand, the question of how musical form emerges from the interplay between construction and perception; and on the other, an exploration of language as a means of constructing and appropriating the world. Part of it, the five-part cycle Rulfo/voces/ecos, belongs to a series of works that draw on literary texts and use language as a starting point for the composition of instrumental and vocal works.

Track Listing

Ordo (2006) for string trio and piano

Rulfo/voces/ecos (2004–2006): Rulfo/voces I for string trio and electronics

Rulfo/voces/ecos (2004–2006): Rulfo/ecos I for cello and electronics

Rulfo/voces/ecos (2004–2006): Rulfo/voces II for violin

Rulfo/voces/ecos (2004–2006): Rulfo/voces III for viola and electronics

Rulfo/voces/ecos (2004–2006): Rulfo/ecos II for string trio and electronics

Trazos (2019) for string trio, piano and electronics

Additional Details

Label: Kairos

Genre: Contemporary Instrumental

Language: English

Run Time: 73:04 mins

Region: 0

Release Date: 12/11/26

UPC: 9120010286759
