A man inherits a racehorse and finds himself thrust into the small-town world of robbers and gangsters.
Johnny Hardwick grew up at the racetrack and knows that his horse Honeyblossom, is unbeatable. At an after-race party, Johnny comes to the aid of a woman who is being molested by a brute and in the ensuing fight breaks a bottle over the man's head. Wanted by the law, he flees to the tiny backwater town of Madison Springs where he falls in love with pretty Margaret Warren and lands a job in her dad's grocery store. When Margaret tells Johnny that her father is about to wager his life savings on a horse race, he hatches a clever plan to save the family fortune.<P>Philadelphia native Douglas MacLean stars in this quality Thomas Ince production. Known as 'the man with the million dollar smile,' MacLean is known for his roles in <I>Going Up</I> (1923), <I>Never Say Die</I> (1924) and <I>Hold That Lion</I> (1926). Later he would produce a score of films including <I>Seven Keys To Baldpate</I> (1925) and <I>231/2 Hours Leave</I> (1937).
