Like Monk, the binarity of composition and improvisation does not interest him at all, and for Masecki too, composition is coagulated improvisation, while improvisation is described as 'instant composing.' For Masecki, the space in between is absolute freedom. Most recently, he experienced that in his piano solo program 'Boleros Y Mas', where he worked on Latin songs as a classic and jazz pianist (Masecki lived with his parents in Colombia for a while as a child). With his instrumental colleague Piotr Orzechowski, he dared to do a 'Bach Rewrite' on two e-pianos, and with his first jazz band Pofesjonalizm, he released an album in 2010 called Chopin Chopin Chopin.
