Emerging from Lansing, Michigan, Of Virtue have developed an international following through relentless touring, powerful live performances and a sound that bridges melodic metalcore, alternative metal and contemporary hard rock. Featuring vocalists Tyler Ennis and Damon Tate, guitarists Tate and Michael Valadez, and drummer Ryan Trinh, the band balances aggressive instrumentation with soaring vocal hooks and introspective lyrics. Released through Arising Empire, Death of the Altar represents the next chapter in the group's evolution, expanding the cinematic arrangements and emotional intensity that have become central to their identity.

Following the success of their 2024 album Omen, which explored addiction, self-destruction, fractured relationships and personal vulnerability, Of Virtue continue examining the struggles that shape the human experience. The title track, 'Death of the Altar,' introduces this new era with the band's characteristic combination of brooding guitar riffs, commanding rhythms and melodic accessibility. Across eleven tracks, including 'Divinity,' 'The End,' 'Enemy State,' 'What's It Like to Be Happy,' 'Too Late,' 'Welcome to Hell,' 'The Art of Love,' 'Flatline,' 'Devotion' and 'Can't Keep Knockin' Me Down,' the group brings together the contrasting elements of aggression and vulnerability that define its contemporary metal sound. Themes of perseverance, emotional conflict, personal transformation and the determination to overcome adversity remain central to the band's artistic approach.

Of Virtue's growing international profile has been supported by extensive touring across more than 30 countries and performances alongside artists including Slipknot, Gojira, Bad Omens, Three Days Grace, The Ghost Inside, Parkway Drive and Nothing More. The band has also appeared at major rock and metal festivals, including Welcome to Rockville and Louder Than Life, while accumulating tens of millions of streams and millions of music video views. Their ability to move between atmospheric passages, infectious choruses and intensely heavy arrangements has attracted listeners drawn to the modern metal sounds of Bad Omens, Currents, Make Them Suffer and Falling in Reverse. With Death of the Altar, Of Virtue continue refining that combination of musical intensity and emotional honesty while building on the momentum established by Omen.

This exclusive Death of the Altar KiTalbum edition presents the album in the innovative KiT format, an interactive physical music collectible designed to connect traditional album ownership with digital listening and fan experiences.
