Yuri Falik’s Composition for unaccompanied violin builds up successive climax of expressivity. Ernest Bloch’s two Suites for unaccompanied violin consist each of four movements, performed without intermission, and slightly reminiscent of Bloch’s background as a proudly Jewish musician. The album is completed by a miniature Partita written by Lithuanian composer Vytautas Barkauskas.
