While searching for a gold mine, Harold Lounsbury is lost in the wilderness. A year later, he is seen near Yuba, California and his fianc', Virginia Tremont, joins an expedition to search for him. She is thrown off her horse crossing a river, and the party's guide, Bill Bronson leaps in the river to save her. The savage current sweeps them far downstream and they are left stranded in a remote cabin. Surrounded by three foot snow drifts and arctic blasts, the odd couple are faced with a desperate struggle to survive.<P>Forgotten today, Roy Stewart was a well-known cowboy star in the heyday of silent westerns. He turned in admirable dramatic performances as well, co-starring with Lillian Gish, Bessie Love and Mary Pickford.
