A group of adventurers search for wealth in the snow covered wilderness. Bonus: 'Gold And Man', a dramatic, highly stylized history of man's greed for gold.
While searching for a gold mine, Harold Lounsbury is lost in the wilderness. A year later, he is seen near Yuba, California and his fianc', Virginia Tremont, joins an expedition to search for him. She is thrown off her horse crossing a river, and the party's guide, Bill Bronson leaps in the river to save her. The savage current sweeps them far downstream and they are left stranded in a remote cabin.
