After a pause of several years The Darkening Scale is now back with new music. This is what David says about the album: 'The Darkening Scale is set to release a new CD, The Empty Mirror, following a long gestation period. It's been existence since 2022 and has been edited and reworked several times over the past three years. The album features some of the more abstract elements of the Lockdown Music series, earlier 'lockdown' pieces from one particularly nowbound winter and some newer material.'
