On a remote farmstead, a dysfunctional family struggles to maintain a fragile existence while protecting itself from a devastating virus that has transformed the outside world into a source of constant danger. Their isolated home offers a precarious sense of security, but that protection begins to unravel when unexpected outsiders arrive carrying the very infection the family has sought to escape. As the threat of contamination grows, the family's already strained relationships deteriorate, and a desperate farmer resorts to increasingly violent measures to protect those closest to him. What begins as a struggle for survival escalates into a terrifying confrontation in which fear, suspicion and the instinct for self-preservation threaten to destroy everything the family hopes to save.

Blending psychological horror with the unsettling possibilities of pandemic fiction, The Haven examines the destructive consequences of fear and the moral boundaries people are willing to cross when confronted with an existential threat. Rather than relying solely on the physical dangers of infection, the film explores how isolation, mistrust and the breakdown of human relationships can become just as devastating as the disease itself. The rural setting intensifies the atmosphere of vulnerability and confinement, transforming an apparent sanctuary into a place of escalating paranoia and violence. Featuring Francesco Foti, Fabio Troiano, Rossella Brescia, Mario Amato, Irene De Gaetano, Angela Motta, Giuseppe Lanza, Simone Bagarella and Giorgio Colangeli, the film presents a stark vision of a society in which the distinction between protecting one's family and committing acts of brutality becomes increasingly difficult to maintain. An official selection of Grimmfest, Fantasporto and the Taormina Film Festival, The Haven has attracted attention for its uncompromising approach to contemporary horror. Grimmfest's Simeon Halligan describes it as "a stark and startling post pandemic parable," while Nocturno's Emanuel de Nicola observes that "the real horror is fear itself."

Jinga Films presents The Haven on DVD, featuring the original Italian-language presentation with 5.1 surround sound.
