Demonstration features all except for one of the songs which appeared on his 1969 solo debut, Tony Hazzard Sings Tony Hazzard, but adds an additional pair of tracks. Recorded between 1966-1969 at Regent Sound in London, the songs are presented in demo form, hence the title. The thirteen songs are charming, hooky, often whimsical, and feature orchestrated arrangements in the style of the period. Hazzard comments, 'This current version has been remixed and remastered from the original 4-track tapes that I was lucky enough to buy before they were due to be destroyed. All the tracks are demos. We re-recorded 'Fox on the Run' and 'You Won't Be Leaving' again for the album. In addition, Tony Hicks of the Hollies recorded his lead guitar part on 'Listen to Me' and it was edited into the demo.
