Touchstone are a five-piece rock band with prog/rock/alternative influences. The band was formed in 2003 by Rob Cottingham & Adam J Hodgson. The first studio EP, Mad Hatters, was recorded in April 2006 at Outhouse Studios in Reading. The band then recorded their debut album, Discordant Dreams in July 2007. In January 2008 - the band won 'Best New Band Award' at the Classic Rock Society awards. The bandùs last album, Wintercoast, was recorded in February-March 2009. Oscar-winning actor, Jeremy Irons, also features as a very special guest performing the prelude narration. This is the band's first double album and is a selection of fourteen live tracks capturing the energy and excitement of two gigs performed in the USA in 2009 in Philadelphia and California. The album showcases the band's powerful performance of tracks from all three previous studio releases.
