Petaluma, Bay Area. In sunny California, four punk rockers formed a band that was anything but sunny: Love Equals Death was born on Halloween 2003, a mixture of typical 90s skate punk and Misfits-style horror punk. Their 2006 album Nightmerica was released on Fat Wreck Chords and took the band on tour with names like TSOL, Avenged Sevenfold, Tiger Army, No Use For A Name, Distillers and of course AFI. Love Equals Death founding members included Dominic Davi from Tsunami Bomb and Nick 13 from Tiger Army. Dubbed 'Deathpunk', their approach remained unique and eventually returned in 2020 when the band decided to come back to life on a split EP with The Static Age through SBÄM Records and Say-10 Records. A B-Sides compilation called The Hour Of Resurrection will be released around Halloween in 2021, including previous versions of songs from their 2008 album Nightmerica (Fat Wreck Chords).
