The Duo Artdeco Vienna presents violin sonatas by Ropartz, Schoeck and Poulenc for its third recording for the Austrian Gramophone label. Until today, the transition from the Romantic era to what is now called modernism has not lost any of its fascination. These three sonatas could not be more different in their stylistic expression of that transition, and with the two musicians of Duo Artdeco Vienna, particularly the lesser known works by Ropartz and Schoeck have found passionate ambassadors.
