Oklahoma-born James Talley has been regarded one of the most innovative and talented singer/songwriters of the Seventies. As a composer, he expanded country music's horizons. During the Seventies, he released a couple of albums on Capitol. During the Eighties, his music was released on Bear Family Records. Some critics called his 'Got No Bread' release one of the best 1970s country albums. As one of the original Nashville outlaws, Tally remained an outrageously underrated talent. On these two complete, original Capitol albums you will get to hear:
Bluesman (featuring B. B. King), Everybody Loves A Love Song, Up From Georgia, Daddy Just Called It The Blues, When The Fiddler Packs Up His Case, Dixie Blues, Nine Pounds Of Hashbrowns, Middle C' Mama, Poets Of The West Viginia Mines, Magnolia Boy, Alabama Summertime, and Mississippi River Whistle Town.
