Founded in 1996, the Berlin band '17 Hippies' has regularly toured in France and their affinity with the French music scene has boomed since 'Berlin Style', their first album released by Buda Musique in 1999.  This album is a collection of their songs in French, some of them featuring friends from such French bands as Les Hurlements d'Léo and Les Ogres de Barback.
