Koko Mojo's Let's Throw A Rockin' Soul Party returns with Volume 4. The album's 30 songs continue in the same vein as the series of previous 3 albums

The metamorphism of sounds featured in Let's Throw A Rockin' Soul Party Volume 04 (KM-CD-133) is derived from rhythm & blues music with a 'New Breed' influence from the up and coming stars of the genre and they are taken from the years 1957 through to 1963. The change in the music was evident, strings and the Hammond organ were often added to the arrangements and the vocals were sweeter, and these performers were the infancy of Soul Music.
The artists with the cross-over sound include two who were under the influence of Jackie Wilson namely, Bobby Bennett with his dance-craze The Boss Turn and Gene Martin, Lonely Nights. Old-timers reinventing themselves were, The Five Keys, Girl You Better Stop It, The Orioles Hey Little Woman, and Eugene Church was defining the changing style in 1959 with his song, Without Soul.
Upcoming soul music stars are the turning point of the albums sound and those doing their own thing musically consist of; Lloyd Nolan, I Don't Know About You, The Miracles featuring Bill 'Smokey' Robinson, ‎Shop Around, and Marvin Gaye,‎ Stubborn Kind Of Fellow are titles recorded for the Tamla label during its formative years.

The ladies catching the record-buying public's attention were the suburb vocalist Mary Ann Fisher with her outlook on life, It's A Man's World, with another change of style, Shirley Ellis‎ with the Hutch Davie Orchestra in support provide the noisy hand-clapping rhyme The Nitty Gritty, and Beverly Marcell soulful-novelty, Bevy's Got A Boyfriend origin is evident.

Bring into the album the superb, Roy And Gloria, So Good, So Fine, You're Mine, The Knight Brothers, Love (Can't You Hear Me), Sam Cooke, Win Your Love For Me and you know that the excellence is throughout the thirty songs. Mr Rhythm and Soul often says, 'the party my friend isn't over and wow that sound is vibrant and clear, the way the Señor and Señoritas like it here in Texas!'
