The search for a literary layer led him to the books of the Old Testament, which, rediscovered years later, presents us with a God who is strict and cruel. The excerpted material has undergone a long, arduous processing, in order to achieve a clearly defined effect- an idiosyncratic, unique sound, which is an invariant element of a complex musical structure.
