Following his acclaimed 'Wanted' (Frame Up Music 2008) the bi-coastal (NY/LA) jazz guitarist presents new music with an exciting band including the tremendous rhythm section of drummer Tom Brechtlein and bassist Michael Valerio with outstanding contributions from award winning pianist Helen Sung and multi-keyboardist George Whitty.

Schalk reaffirms that 'jazz is one of the deepest art-forms of music interpretation' in the recording's nine tracks, beginning with the beautiful solo guitar improvisation 'Midnight Prayers”. Also included are up-tempo burners like 'Eating Melodies' and 'Written Tomorrow', where Schalk's musicianship shines on both electric and nylon-string guitar. Or the tender balladry of 'Toninho', dedicated to Brazilian guitarist Toninho Horta.
