Description

Biman Bangladesh Airlines retired the world's last passenger DC-10, by flying S2-ACR New Era to Bangladesh

When Biman Bangladesh Airlines retired the world's last passenger DC-10, they threw a going-away party that will never be forgotten, by flying S2-ACR New Era from Dhaka to Birmingham UK for a weekend of nine sightseeing flights before her very last flight back to Bangladesh to be scrapped.
Filmmaker Brian Wiklem was with the aircraft the entire weekend and presents a feature-length film, Farewell DC-10 which takes the viewer into the cockpit for every flight including the ferry back to Dhaka, and numerous shots from the ramp, from the end of the runway, inside the passenger cabin, and from the cameraships that shot S2-ACR during flight. There is also a complete sortie viewable in a Choose-Your-Own-Camera-Angle featurette. The language is English but there is some Bengali dialogue, particularly with the cockpit footage and is accompanied with English sub-titles.. This is your invitation to relive the epic retirement celebration that was befitting of a legend of the skies, the DC-10.

Bonus Materials

  • You Are There. a feature giving you more raw ramp side and cockpit access.
  • Virtual Cockpit. variety of take and landings with 6 user-switchblade camera angles in the cockpit
