Will Wood

Will Wood is an independent musician, comedian, and multimedia artist known for his ever-changing style and tendency to bounce between contradictory tones. In his wide-ranging discography, satire and cartoonish absurdity will often share space with genuine emotional vulnerability, and his appearances across media or on stage reflect an unwillingness to conform to industry expectations or even any singular artistic identity. 

Both a showman willing to fabricate his life story for the sake of entertainment and a chronic over-sharer open about his personal struggles, he is known for combining his eccentric yet sensitive musicianship with absurd yet personal stand-up comedy that crosses over into drama and back again. Wood will also occasionally defy expectations by bringing out his band, affectionately dubbed "The Tapeworms," for high-energy rock shows, adding yet another layer of whiplash, sending hardcore moshers laughing in theaters and theater kids into mosh pits.

Not everyone will "get" Will Wood, but listeners who click with his wordplay, depth, emotionality, sense of humor, and experimentation with genres as media of their own have formed an intense cult following that continues to grow alongside his artistic pursuits. Wood is rumored to be currently at work on his next album, which, if true, will be his first full-length studio release since his "musical suicide note" In Case I Make It in 2022.

Will Wood designs most of his own merchandise and donates a portion of the income to mental health-related charities. He was born in New Jersey in 1993 and resides there with his wife and a variety of rescue animals. He is known for avoiding social media and encouraging his fans to do the same.
