As a concert singer, Eröd has sung under Sir Simon Rattle with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

In view of the 200th birthday of Franz Liszt in 2011, the Liszt Lied Edition is going to present for the first time this composer's complete 'lieder' (songs) on six CDs. There will be several first recordings and even previously unpublished works. Although Liszt is mostly considered an important virtuoso pianist and composer of symphonic epics, his 'lieder' offer the essence of his entire oeuvre. Many of his musical ideas were born in the 'lied' repertoire, since songs are often the direct expression of the composer's personality and may disclose his most inner feelings. Liszt was a master of melody and many of his 'lieder' are captivating for the beauty of their vocal parts. However, the expressive quality of the music is at the fore. Charles Spencer who was Christa Ludwig's last accompanist, will be the pianist on all discs.
