Lucky 13 delivers sassy and soulful electric and acoustic blues from Fiona Boyes, the first Australian - and first woman - to win the Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge. Lucky 13 also showcases Fiona's proficiency as a songwriter - she penned 10 of the 13 songs on the disc. Her understanding of American roots music and clever storytelling distinguishes her songs from records which merely cover blues standards.
