10th album by UK singer-songwriter Peter Bruntell

Recorded between February and June 2015 and produced by Peter, Nos Da Comrade (which means 'Good Night Comrade' in Welsh) is the 10th album by UK singer songwriter Peter Bruntnell. The album was recorded in Bruntnell's home studio in deepest Devon and in the village hall in the idyllic village of Mortehoe, where the core band Mick Clews (drums), Peter Noone (bass) and Peter (electric guitar and vocals)) set up and blasted out the tunes. Peter: 'I wanted to make a record that was fairly standard in its approach, with drums, bass, guitars and with keyboard sounds now and then. A lot of it is played live but there are some overdubs.' If you ask the likes of Peter Buck, Scott Mccaughey, Willy Vlautin, Jay Farrar, John Murry or Kathleen Edwards they'll all agree that Peter Bruntnell is a writer with rare and mysterious qualities.There are many influences at work on this new record from The Beatles to Big Star to Nick Drake (although they're not necessarily apparent, like the best influences aren't), and when NME claimed that 'Peter Bruntnell's records should be taught in schools', they were referring to the particular appeal of the quiet Devonian's songwriting craft.
