Dancing Ferret

Dancing Ferret is a Philadelphia-based independent music collective founded by Patrick Rodgers (DJ Ferret) in 1995, encompassing Dancing Ferret Discs and Dancing Ferret Concerts. The label, active from 1998 through the early 2010s, became a prominent force in gothic rock, industrial, neo-Medieval, and alternative music, releasing influential works by artists such as The Crüxshadows, Corvus Corax, Faun, and Information Society. While the label ceased issuing new material after 2013, its sister company, Dancing Ferret Concerts, earned recognition for producing gothic and alternative nightlife events, most notably the long-running Philadelphia club night Nocturne.
