Motivated by a desire to showcase both Bernie's exceptional musicianship and his gifts as a composer, Cellar Music set out to create a project that truly captures the depth of Senensky's artistry.
The central concept behind the recording was to pair Bernie with a selection of outstanding saxophonists from across North America, creating an intimate setting that encouraged spontaneous interaction and highlighted the unique chemistry between Bernie and each collaborator.
Bernie's long-standing reputation and deep relationships within the jazz community ensured enthusiastic participation from every musician involved. The resulting lineup features some of the finest saxophonists of our time, including PJ Perry, Eric Alexander, Cory Weeds, Campbell Ryga, Vincent Herring, Pat LaBarbera, Ryan Oliver, and Kirk MacDonald.
