Early in 1994, Bill Ramsey was invited by South German Radio (SDR) to do a production for radio and CD. He was accompanied by the SDR big band directed by Dieter Reith and sang 16 'good old good ones', as Louis Armstrong called them. Soloists included Berndt Rabe on alto sax, Klaus Wagenleiter on piano, and saxophonists Georg Kaufmann and Andreas Hartmann.
