We pay tribute to composer Mary Rodgers with this CD featuring the London cast recording of 'Once Upon a Mattress' and a studio cast recording of 'Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves 40' starring Bing Crosby. To live up to the work of her famous father Richard Rodgers was probably difficult but Mary Rodgers achieved Broadway success with 'Once Upon a Mattress' which launched the career of Carol Burnett. This London cast recording from the 1960 production and an earlier studio recording of 'Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves 40' starring Bing Crosby proved that Miss Rogers was equally talented as her father. Both recordings are on CD for the fist time.
