Re-pressed due to extremely high demand, Funky Delicacies brings this collection of rarities from Black Merda. Too late for the Hendrix generation and too early for the Parliament / Funkadelic generation, this group created a heady brew of psychedelic Folk-Rock-Funk of the 70's. Released in 2006, The Psych Funk of Black Merda was a part of Black Merda's reunion that saw revitalized respect and a cult following around this psych-funk. This group did not merely have a singular rue of psychadelic folk-rock funk but shared a special kinship with Marvin Gaye's precient seeing of the awful transition from the optimistic 60s to the paranoid 70s and beyond.
