Juno award winning triple threat trumpeter, singer and songwriter, Bria Skonberg, releases her new album 'Indigo'.

New York based Canadian Bria Skonberg is a Juno award winning triple threat trumpeter, singer and songwriter. Called the 'shining hope of hot jazz' by the NY Times, and described as 'one of the most versatile and imposing musicians of her generation'. Her new album for Cellar Music entitled 'Indigo' is an exploration in nuances, and conversations about chemistry, fragility and sense of self. As Bria says 'Many of these songs require a certain amount of life experience to be able to understand and interpret them, and at this point I feel like I've lived them all.' The album features Skonberg on trumpet and vocals, Gil Goldstein at the piano, accordion, and as an arranger, Eric Wheeler on bass, Darrian Douglas playing drums and percussion instruments, Antoine Silverman & Entcho Todorov on violins, Yuko Naito-Gotay on viola, Emily Brausa on violincello, Kathleen Nester on alto flute and Charles Pillow on bass clarinet.
