Description

Long considered one of the greatest trumpeters in pre-war Jazz, Berigan's short, tragic life produced an exceptional body of work. His 1938 hit 'I Can't Get Started' caused a sensation in live performance and was to remain his classic. Very little is available on Berigan's short Big Band period, making this CD a welcome addition to any collection. Tracks include 'Blue Lou', 'Let's Do It', 'Swanee River', 'The Prisoner's Song' and 'A Study In Brown'.
