The last surviving member of the New York School, performing his own compositions on piano and melodica with percussionist Robyn Schulkowsky, as well as performances of other Wolff compositions by the British ensemble, Apartment House. Covering the period 1950 - 2013, these compositions constitute an important document that traces the evolution of a composer through and after a period of revolutionary musical re-thinking. Materials from two concerts have been programmed to form a kind of composite meta-composition for the CD. With useful notes by Christian Wolff.
