Robert âChubbyâ Wise was one of Bill Monroe's original Blue Grass Boys, toured with the likes of Sam and Kirk McGee and Uncle Dave Macon, and was featured on albums by Hank Williams, Hank Snow and others. Backed by Terry Eldredge, Gene Wooten, Larry Perkins, Mike Bub, and special guests Sonny and Bobby Osborne, Chubby fiddles his way through breakdowns, hoedowns, gospel tunes, and blues. Other musicians who join in from time to time include Ronnie McCoury and Butch Baldassari. This special release showcases Chubby, the definitive bluegrass fiddler.
