Bible Hill, Nova Scotia-born singer Cindy Church walks a thin line between understated and underwhelming on this, her second album. Jazzy pop (Floyd Tillman's 'I Gotta Have My Baby Back'), gospel (Shirley Eikhard's 'It's Just a Little Rain'), and uptempo rockabilly (Church's own 'Sleeping Alone') are all given the same overly polite country-pop treatment, with sprinklings of pedal steel and the occasional mandolin for embellishment.
