The album is an eclectic work bridging the worlds of Mediterranean neofolk and post-rock, featuring 12 new tracks. The music was recorded between the historic walls of Splash Studio (Peppino di Capri) and the mythical Abbey Road Studios in London. The title, which echoes the famous volume by Marcel Proust, serves as a profound homage to the theme of parenthood. The record thrives on powerful dynamic contrasts, alternating tracks of extreme sweetness--performed with the rigor and technique of classical conservatory guitar--with more aggressive moments driven by electric guitars. Notable guests include Andrea Chimenti, a historic voice of the Italian new wave scene, and Maddalena Crippa, one of the most prominent and esteemed actresses in Italian theatre. Alongside them is the core group of musicians who have collaborated with Corde Oblique for over twenty years: Edo Notarloberti, Alessio Sica, Rita Saviano, and Umberto Lepore. The CD comes in an elegant 6-page eco-digifile with an 8-page booklet. The artwork is enhanced by previously unreleased 1980s photographs showcasing Pozzuoli and the Phlegraean Fields (Campi Flegrei).
