Crow Johnson 1980 is a perfect showcase for one of the singer/songwriter movements guiding lights. Songs heard regularly at major folk festivals. Born to a bohemian couple, Crow's father was a blind jazz musician, her mother a floutist, who raised her in the music capitl of Austin, Texas. Crow performed from 1962 forward, earning a British record deal in 1968. She has shared stages with Guy Clark, Maria Muldaur, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.W. Stevenson, Josh White Jr., Lyle Lovett, Lucinda Williams and many others. Crow formerly published the seminal singer/songwriter magazine, Zassafras, and has had her songs covered by Leo Kotke, Mary MacGregor, Ann Armstrong and Michael Johnson
