From Daggerboard and Erik Jekabson come THE AXES. A series of four concerts each given on the day of their event. December 18 2025 at The Hillside Club in Berkeley the first concert was performed and this recording is that performance and the rehearsal for it. The pieces were written for the celebratory nature of the winter solstice. Eight original works that begin with minimalist themes then develop in wondrous ways.
